She reviews your oral health and bone support and provides the treatment plan and cost in writing before anything is scheduled.

Your first visit focuses on a comprehensive exam and a plan for your care. It includes an oral cancer screening, digital X-rays as clinically needed, and a digital iTero scan. Dr. Chopra goes through what she finds with you on the screen. If treatment is recommended, you'll receive the plan and cost in writing before anything is scheduled.

Guided Biofilm Therapy is the cleaning method we use here. It begins with a warm-water air polish and a fine powder rather than traditional hand scaling. Patients with sensitive teeth, gum recession, dental implants, or a good deal of existing dental work often find it more comfortable than a traditional cleaning.

We accept PPO dental insurance and are in network with a growing number of plans. Where we're out of network, most PPO plans still cover treatment here at their out-of-network rate, and we file the claim for you. We also accept credit cards, FSA and HSA funds, and CareCredit. If you don't have dental insurance, ask about our in-house membership plan.

Patients walk over from Center City, Fitler Square, Logan Square, and Graduate Hospital, and many visit before work or during lunch. Bring your ID, your insurance card if you have one, and a list of any medications you take. If you can request X-rays from your previous dentist, send them ahead and we may be able to use them. If not, we'll take the images we need during your visit.

Dr. Kirti Chopra, DDS, FAGD is a restorative and cosmetic dentist at Smile Design Studio by KC in Philadelphia. She earned her dental degree at Indiana University School of Dentistry and graduated from the Kois Center with honors. She's a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and an AACD Accreditation Candidate, with more than 900 hours of continuing education. Our team sees patients in English, Hindi, and Spanish.
